Ethnographic Methods

This course introduces MSc Students in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to the fundamentals of ethnographic research. The students are introduced to an ethnographic approach to research and the various tools in the ethnographer’s toolbox including participant observation, semi-structured and unstructured interviewing, focus group discussions, visual ethnography as well as archival research. The students are also introduced to the importance of thinking critically about ethics in ethnography as well as their subjectivity and positionality in the field.
Writing an Extended Essay/ Literature Review

This course guides Postgraduate Diploma and MSc Students in Child and Adolescent Mental through the process of writing a literature review on any topic in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
